The evocative sound design was inspired by Alice Coltrane, Brian Eno, David Lynch and Ryuichi Sakamoto. Incorporating the natural elements helps to support the film's overall theme of cyclic renewal. Water, fire, hummingbirds, musical bowls made from precious gemstones and rare crystals -- even the actual sound of the sun's surface -- can be heard throughout the film's original sound design, produced and designed by Chris Rodriguez.
